Homebase and LVAN are proud to present Andy Vasquez in "The Furnitural Figures" Opening Friday July2nd

Homebase and the Lehigh Valley Artist network are proud to present Andy Vasquez in his first LVAN solo show at Homebase Skateshop entitled "The Furnitural Figures" Opening First Friday July 2nd , from 7-10pm

Andy V is one of the second gen Hometeam crew. By that, I mean, That there was a day when Andy didn't have a mustache and a good smith grind, but always had Valley Pride and a open attitude about skating and its history. As much as I try to be social with everyone, there is always one or two people that stand out as being genuine and sincere in the way they interact, I always saw that in Andy V. Over the years Andy has become a player in the game, filming video parts , getting photos, as well as school and his love of woodwork off the board. This July 2nd Andy is letting us deeper into the art of his woodworking.
Don't miss this special First Friday with the LVAN , Homebase Skateshop, and Andy Vasquez himself.

Black Metal Paul Art Show

This invite only art show, music display, was by far the darkest thing going on a Sunday night in Allentown. Held in a secret warehouse, Paul put his brain on display for select friends and family. Aside from the arrest for inciting (don't say "Fuck Off, Pigs" to Atown Police) it was a great event. I hope Paul keeps putting himself and his art out there, I'm backin it till then.

The next day was the epic wind tunnel style sesh. Capped lips but great memories.
I hooked up seconds after Luke Koch closed down a gnar ollie ride out but the energy of the crew ( and a peek into the rewind camera) had me pumped.

Burn Money if ya got it.

Scraps and Memory lapse

Somethings slip through the cracks. Here's what I noticed was missing. Enjoy.

The usual show car would not be missing Rea and Sean P at the Church in Philly. Real hip hop in an old school feeling room. Rea really is one of the best, even if his themes aren't your thing.

Sean P. ( if your a fan you know how thats read)

I went to the Focus show, had a great ti....I mean, networked and talked price points and trend forecasting.

If I remember proper, a bloody skater ( the injured type , not the English slang type), a hand painted deck , a focused board maybe? Oh well....I can't remember properly. Alex got punched in the face.

There is some skate ramp or something being grown in this field, we showed up to plant seeds.

Sight & Sound:Round 3

This Saturday marked the beginning of spring as well as the THIRD year of Audio Dynamikz "Sight & Sound" party. The crew was out skating and coppin the free Rita's. Colbert , Gary , and I were at the warehouse prepping the easel for the nights party. And what a party it was. There were over 2000 people in the place, Kurtz grew a stash after holding the marker for a minute, lots of girls dancing wild, and Im pretty sure at one point Colbert had his hands up in the air yelling at the top of his voice every time I saw him. We locked our corner of the dance hall down and did the thing. Fun night, Thanks to Cap Cee and the Audio Dynamikz Crew for holding me down, and Colbert for helping me get up.

We knocked an hour of painting out in about 45mins. The dance floor got too packed to keep painting and Security was bummed on the canvas so we cleared it out and joined the party. I didn't even get a proper flick of it before we swept it up but as always it was a blast to be apart of, thanks again to everyone for their continued support. I got your backs.

Slippin back around to catch up.

I was slacking on my bloggin for a couple months now. I work retail as a main income and the holidaze kept me busy and slightly unmotivated. Not to say I wasn't creeping around, sometimes even WITH my camera. Im going to get back with it and try to keep posting, I love to see the hits and talk about the posts with anyone else that like to see'em. I also love looking at all the other local blogs, so why not join back in? Thanks for checking back, See you all soon.

Id like to start by giving some long waited coverage to Commeh and his art show at Homebase
Check out some flicks
HERE and HERE
I hope to eventually poach enough of those linked flicks to post on LVAN , which has not dissolved. We're still working and hope to offer you some exciting new events again this year.

Some catch up starting with an erotic art show featuring Lorna and Bee.

I think most of my friends must have been standing in front of this piece, because it was really standing out to me. Weird, right?

I forget what was jumpin off this weekend, I just know we were in the midst of a couple day binge. LI Crew and all. I know it wasnt the first day and I don't think this was the last day. Good times.

Bubbainpink got a pager.

Photobucket

You don't think I'm killing it without taking a crewshot? Killin it.
Photobucket

Speaking of killing it, There was a presentation of sorts about to get started. Live band, narrator that didn't bother pre-reading anything, oh yeah, and a human sacrifice as a act one finally. I could ONLY imagine what act 2 brought. We were OUT.
I wish I would have thought to get a screen grab of the text barrage that ensued the second the lights went out and the door was blocked. All of our phones lit up like christmas trees, and the masses were saved (if not briefly) from our wiseass remarks.
Photobucket

Then the sacrifice..yes that is a gimp beating her, and some kind of wizard dripping hot wax on her. No Biggs.
Photobucket

This is the clean up creep.

Holla, Novy's back.
