Artsy Mind Freak Review

On Thursday, after Thanksgiving Dinner , some of the Hometeam Family met up at the Base to give thanks for each other and check out some Videos. The crowd gathered and grew as Kill The Filmer played against the wall. You could tell everyone was enjoying the flash back, even though it was just a couple years ago. Clean faces, that are now bearded. High Voices, that are now scarred from Newports. Watching Friends that strayed from skating since then, and tripping on how timeless some trick was done by the ones still skating. A great video and a cool chapter in the HB collection.
Then, it was time to witness Bubba Smith's first solo video project, Artsy Mind Freak. I thought it was a great video and I loved watching it with most of the "stars". I love to see the lifestyle videos. In the same vein as Consistently Awesome, the joy of this video comes not only from the sketchy filming but the friends, inside jokes, gross outs, and laughs. Po commented "it's best it's just Family tonight, this might not be ready for Randoms" but thats not to say you need to know the "stars" to enjoy this video. Although I missed the edited version of Emery's day-in-the-life , Artsy Mind Freak was the perfect length for Thanksgiving dessert. Congrats to Bubba. Bother him to edit and post MRE's D-I-T-L

Sundays are perfect for skating

I hope you enjoyed Nono Blog in September because I've been lagging lately due to my work schedule and a lot of changes in my life. All of which I hope, somehow, leads to a better art and skate community for the Valley. But don't stop checking everyday, I'm still taking flicks and posting 'em when I can.
I also just got a new monitor and realized that my "Nono" headers don't fit all screens the way they do on my small monitor when I set them up, sorry, but Look forward to a look back on some headers you might have missed over the months.

Here are some more pics I've been holding on to.

I hooked up with the boys to skate and the session turned  to the trench life.
The wooden "mud stompers"  quickly got stacked up the hill as a mega ramp type runway.
It kept growing until it included a "handrail" and kicker.

Then we headed to the Re-New trench where there was already a heated session going on

He's looking mad relaxed lately.

Vince Sabo's opening at Homebase. Stop by Homebase NOW to see it before the month is over. Vince worked hard and the pieces are priced to sell, go cop a original piece of art to give for christmas, you know they'll love it and you'll look all hip and creative.

Emery said my coverage meter has been low lately, so he sniped my break.

Then it was off to some party at Allentown Brew Works ( thanks for the comp Peezy )
I think Pat was going to play guitar, instead he also got some new defaults. Credits man?

No, Not Kanye. Kanye never built a halfpipe for a picnic.

RA da Rugged Man , The Uncanny, King Mag , Adlib, and more

If your down with underground hip hop you've been witness to RA. He's rocked songs with the best, from Company Flow, to Biggie, from Kool G Rap , to Jedi Mind Tricks. Ask him why he's playing Allentown and he'd probably tell you he's washed up. Truth is, King Mag and Adlib are working with real cats and bringing them back to Town. The Sensi Starr Record crew will be opening with The Uncanny and others. If you don't know RA , it's not too late, just hide your girl and get ready to not give a fu@k.

I'm not sure what to expect but if he gets half as hype as this I'll pay twice.
